เมื่อวันที่ 27 กุมภาพันธ์ 2553 ศูนย์พัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ร่วมกับ บริษัท  นพดลพานิช  จำกัด เปิดการแข่งขัน  “ช่างชิงแชมป์”  ชิงเงินรางวัลรวมกว่า 100,000 บาท พร้อมเปิดตัว นพดลพานิช โฮมเอ็กซ์เปิร์ท  สาขาสันกำแพง  (แยกหลุยส์)  ในงาน “นพดล เอ็กซ์เปิร์ทแฟร์” 

ภายในงานมีกิจกรรมการแข่งขัน  “ช่างชิงแชมป์”  ใน 5 ประเภท คือ ช่างปูกระเบื้อง ช่างต่อท่อประปา ช่างสีฉาบบางและสร้างลาย  ช่างเฟอร์นิเจอร์และทาสีไม้ ช่างปูนก่อและฉาบลายศิลป์ และทดสอบความแข็งแรงทุกวันกับกิจกรรมการแข่งขันงัดข้อ ซึ่งได้รับความสนใจจากช่างทั้งมืออาชีพและสมัครเล่นเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมการแข่งขันครั้งนี้จำนวนมาก

นอกจากนี้ยังมีการจำหน่ายสินค้านาทีทอง, การแสดงสินค้าวัสดุก่อสร้างราคาพิเศษ,สินค้าโอท็อป ,  การแสดงดนตรี สวนสนุก และกิจกรรมความบันเทิงอื่นๆอีกมากมายตลอดงาน
